Looking to forget life’s troubles, the two girls go out partying one night and meet Louis (Yani Gellman) and Benjamin (Santiago Segura). Step is Life – New Featurette for Inspiring, Energetic Dance Doc ‘Step’
“Strong women together are unstoppable.” Fox Searchlight has released a new featurette for the fantastic documentary Step, profiling a step dance group at a school in Baltimore. This doc premiered at Sundance to rave reviews, and was one of the audience’s favorites. It’s one of the most energetic, inspiring, exciting documentaries I’ve seen this year and I highly recommend it. This featurette is more of an introduction to “step” and what it is, and where it came from, and why it’s so important to these women. If you haven’t seen the official trailer, you can check it out here after watching this promo below. Here’s to hoping Searchlight can build up buzz and turn this doc into a big hit in theaters. The ‘Happy Death Day’ Trailer Is ‘Groundhog Day’ With A Horror Movie Twist
Groundhog Day isn’t a horror movie but it very well could be. Reliving the same day because you’re stuck in a time loop (in wintery Pennsylvania, at that), unable to die, slowly going insane to the tune of Sonny & Cher’s “I Got You Babe” — that sounds horrifying to me, although it could be worse: you could be stabbed to death by a… ...Read full story
Tom Cruise Is a Control Freak and Ruined ‘The Mummy’
The rebooted The Mummy, which stars Tom Cruise and is part of Universal Pictures’ vision for a “Dark Universe” franchise, opened in American theaters recently. Apparently, his ego’s out of control, since he’s called a “young man” in the movie. Yeah, maybe if he met… ...Read full story
New Okja Trailer Is Filled With Praise For Bong Joon Ho’s Latest
The newest trailer for Okja doesn’t waste any time heaping praise upon the film. It’s the newest directorial outing from director Bong Joon Ho, who after proving himself time and time again as a dependable and truly singular voice in the entertainment industry, made his biggest splash amongst the film community yet with 2014’s Snowpiercer. But where that film was a nihilistic sci-fi extravaganza starring Chris Evans, all set in one long train, Okja promises to have a much more lighthearted nature and tone to it than any of Bong Joon Ho’s previous titles. Set during the modern day… ...Read full story

However, there’s one thing … ...Read full story
